Cardinals Returns Home, Host Rams

| By:
BEAUMONT, Texas – Just days after a near upset of No. 14 TCU, the Lamar University men's basketball team returns home for its second home game – and final home game of November – to host Huston-Tillotson. The Cardinals (1-1) will look to move over the .500 mark after an impressive, yet heartbreaking, performance at TCU that saw LU within a possession several times late in the game before the Horned Frogs managed to pull away late.

For the Cardinals, Monday's game represents the team's final home game until Dec. 1. Big Red will hit the road for the next five games that will see dates against Lindenwood, Western Carolina, McNeese (non-conference) and SMU.

The Rams are looking to improve upon a nine-win season from last year but are off to a 1-2 start this season. Huston-Tillotson dropped its first two games of the year but battled back with their first win Saturday at Oklahoma Panhandle State.

The Cardinals are a perfect 9-0 all-time against HTU, in a series that dates back to the 2003-04 season. All nine matchups have been in Beaumont, with the last meetings being a 20-point victory in 2018-19.

Monday's game is slated to begin at 7 p.m. from the Montagne Center. It will be broadcast on Newstalk 560 KLVI and streamed live on ESPN+.
