BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University returns home from a three-match road swing for a rare Tuesday match when they host Nicholls. The Cardinals will now turn their focus to getting back on track with home matches against Nicholls and Southeastern Louisiana.

th overall. Nicholls (4-21/1-12 SLC) has dropped 12 straight since a victory at UIW to open conference play. The match against Nicholls will be the first of two over the course of the next five days.
Big Red leads the all-time series over Nicholls, 30-12 (.714), a mark that the includes a 16-5 (.762) all-time record in Beaumont. The Cardinals have won four of the previous six meetings, but Nicholls got the lone head-to-head matchup last season, 3-2, in Thibodaux.
Two days later, the Cardinals will turn around and host Southeastern Louisiana. The Lions (19-6/9-4 SLC) are currently in a two-way tie for third just a win back of Houston Christian and McNeese. The Lions come to town as one of the league's hottest teams having won four straight. SLU will be in Natchitoches, La., Tuesday to face Northwestern State before traveling to Beaumont.
