BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University women's soccer program will head on the road for a three-game road stand, beginning with a trip north to Stephen F. Austin for a matchup at the SFA Soccer Complex with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Leading the Cardinals is redshirt senior
Esther Okoronkwo who leads the Cardinals with 24 total points on nine goals and six assists. Sophomore
Nicole Panis leads the Big Red in goal as she has tallied 60 saves on the year and owns a 0.66 goals against average.
LAST TIME OUT: Okoronkwo netted her third career hat trick as she lead the Cardinals to a 3-0 in over Central Arkansas. She got the hat trick in the 75
th minute on an assist from
Madison Ledet.
SERIES HISTORY: This will mark the 18
th meeting between the program with SFA holding the series advantage, 12-5-0, but the Cardinals captured the last meeting by a score of 4-1 at the LU Soccer Complex in the 2019 season.
SCOUTING THE LADYJACKS: The Ladyjacks (7-5-2, 5-3 SLC) are led by Katelyn Termini who has tallied 14 points on the year with five goals and four assists. In between the pipes, Madeline Talbot leads SFA with 71 saves on the season and a 0.91 goals allowed average.
UP NEXT: The Cardinals will travel west to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston in the second game of a three-game road stand. The contest is scheduled for a 3 p.m. kickoff at the Pritchett Field.
