SOCCER CENTRAL: vs. Central Arkansas

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University women's soccer program will complete their home portion of the 2020 schedule on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Central Arkansas to the LU Soccer Complex for a 1 p.m. kickoff.  
 
Leading the Cardinals is redshirt senior Esther Okoronkwo who leads the Cardinals with 18 total points on six goals and six assists. Sophomore Nicole Panis leads the Big Red in goal as she has tallied 54 saves on the year and owns a 0.74 goals against average.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Junior Christine Kitaru and Anessa Byerman tallied the goals in LU's commanding victory over Northwestern State on Friday night. Okoronkwo tallied assists on both goals while Panis kept the Demons off the scoreboard.

SERIES HISTORY: This will mark the 15th meeting between the programs with the Cardinals holding a slight series advantage with a record of 7-6-1. The last time out, the Cardinals came out of Conway, Ark. with a 3-2 win over the Sugar Bears.

SCOUTING THE SUGAR BEARS: The Sugar Bears (12-6-1, 3-4 SLC) are led by Emma Haawkins on the offense as she has tallied 28 points with 13 goals and two assists on the hybrid year. In goal for UCA, Reagan McCombs leads the team with 60 saves in 1,661 minutes of action.

UP NEXT: The Cardinals will finish out the 2020 season on the road, beginning with a trip north to battle with Stephen F. Austin on Thursday, April 1st with a 7:00 p.m. kick off in Nacogdoches.
