BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University women's soccer program will complete their three-game road stand when they travel to Thibodaux, La. to face Nicholls in Southland Conference play with kickoff set for 2:00 p.m. at the Nicholls Soccer Complex.
Leading the Cardinals is redshirt senior
Esther Okoronkwo who leads the Cardinals with 12 total points on five goals and two assists. She was named the SLC Player of the Week on Monday, March 8
th as she contributed in some way to each LU goal in wins over Abilene Christian and UIW. Sophomore
Nicole Panis leads the Big Red in goal with 43 stops on the year and a 0.98 goals allowed average.
LAST TIME OUT: Junior
Makenzie Harvey tallied her first goals as a Cardinal in the 2-1 win over UIW on Sunday, March 7
th. Panis recorded a career-high 10 saves in the win and faced 24 shots.
SERIES HISTORY: This will mark the 14
th meeting between the Cards and Colonels. In the last meeting, Lamar exploded for a 6-0 win over Nicholls at the LU Softball Complex.
SCOUTING THE COLONELS: The Colonels (0-8, 0-5 SLC) are led by Koryn Barrett who has recorded 10 shots on the season. Reagan Carter is the go-to person in goal for the Colonels who has tallied 22 saves on the year.

th when they will welcome Northwestern State to the LU Soccer Complex with kickoff set for 7 p.m. CT.
