BEAUMONT, Texas – With soccer and softball set to begin their spring seasons tomorrow, Lamar University Athletics announced facility capacity limits for the upcoming spring 2021 home events.
Current health and safety guidelines set forth by state and local officials due to the COVID-19 Pandemic will allow the following attendance at the home events: 75 people for soccer and 119 people for softball at the combined complex.
As of February 11, the current guidelines allow for 25 percent capacity at athletics events. Capacities will be adjusted as state guidelines allow.
For the soccer stadium, there are no season ticket sales, and the following people will be allowed to attend events: Individuals on each team's player pass list.
For the softball stadium, there are no more season tickets on sale and there will also be no single game sales. The following people will be allowed to attend events: Individuals on each team's player pass list and season ticket holders.
Both fields do have space on the outside of both stadiums that can be utilized for viewing areas by the general public.
The limited capacity set forth will give individuals an opportunity to safely support the Cardinals this coming season.
