EDINBURG, Texas - Once again, Nicole Panis would put up another strong performance for Lamar University with a shutout in goal and nine saves against the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. But, after 110 minutes of soccer, the only result that came out was a 0-0 draw for the Cardinals. LU is 7-7-2 overall and 4-2-2 in the Western Athletic Conference following tonight's contest.

The Vaqueros outshot the Cardinals 15-10, which included a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal. Meg Sheppard and Isela Ramirez each put up a team-high three shots to lead LU in the shot department.

After a first half that saw both teams combine for five shots, the offense would pick up in the second half as each combined for 14. UTRGV recorded nine of those shots, including six on goal, which were all saved by Panis. Both sides would have multiple chances in overtime, but were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw.

LU will get set to have their second to last home match of the season when they host Chicago State University this Thursday night at 7:00 PM at the LU Soccer Complex.
