BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University women's basketball is getting a late addition to the 2020-21 signing class.
Emma Imevbore signed her National Letter of Intent on Friday, becoming the first international player on the Cards roster since the 2015-16 season.

Aqua Franklin. "She has length, size, a good skill set, versatility and a willingness to learn the game. Her best basketball is ahead of her and we are eager to begin helping her develop into a dominant post in the Southland Conference."
Imevbore hails from London, England where she went to high school at King Henry, while she played her pre-collegiate career for the U18 London Thunder basketball club. With the Thunder, she averaged a double-double with 37.0 points and 15.0 rebounds per game, while recording 7.0 blocks per game and bringing home MVP honors three consecutive years, 2018-2020.
The London native also played a season with the Women's Division II London LSBU Thunder. While in the Division II league, she averaged a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds per game. Imevbore earned Player of the Week status during her time with the Thunder.
