THIBADOUX, La. - Due to field conditions at the Nicholls Soccer Complex, the Southland Conference soccer game between Lamar University and Nicholls State University originally scheduled for last Friday has now been moved to October 7.

Juliana Ocampo scored the game-winning goal – her third of the night -- in the 94
thminute as Lamar University defeated UTSA, 4-3, Friday evening in an overtime thriller at the LU Soccer Complex. In addition to playing an overtime period, the contest was also delayed an hour due to lightning in the area.
"What a fantastic night for Juliana," said LU head coach
Steve Holeman. "Three goals in one night, including the game-winner in overtime – it just doesn't get any better than that.
Colorado College
It ended the way it began, with no score between the soccer teams of Lamar University and Colorado College on Sunday. The Cardinals and Tigers fought to a 0-0 score with spectacular saves by both teams keeping the scoreboard blank, but with 35 minutes left on the clock the game was called due to impending weather. The game is officially listed as a no contest since it didn't reach the 70th minute.

The Cardinals will return home this weekend for a two-game Homecoming slate. Big Red will host SLC opponents Central Arkansas (Sept. 21) and Northwestern State (Sept. 23) before hitting the road again at Sam Houston State on Sept. 28.
