BEAUMONT, Texas - Returning to the McDonald Gymnasium to host a team in a relocated match, Lamar University's volleyball team will face Prairie View A&M on Tuesday. The Cards and Panthers will meet at 7:00 p.m.

General admission tickets for Lamar's match against Prairie View are $5 per adult, $3 per child or senior citizen, or $3 per adult for groups over 15 people.

three-set loss to the Big Red Bears.
LU showed grit and determination Saturday by overcoming a two-set deficit and winning its third set against a formidable Houston team.
Tomar Thomas and Dim each had double-digit kills and
Kyla Rogers had 22 assists and six digs. The Cardinals came close to forcing a fifth set but ultimately
fell 25-19 in the finale.
Lamar vs. Prairie View A&M - September 11 at 7 p.m.
In its 19 matches against Prairie View A&M in program history, Lamar holds a perfect record against the Panthers, having lost only four out of 61 total sets against Prairie View.
TaCho Tyler, in her fourth season as head coach at her alma mater, is 27-72 at the helm, including an 0-9 mark this year. Before becoming the head coach, Tyler spent seven seasons under PVAMUÂ Hall of Fame coach Alicia Pete, during which time the Panthers won three consecutive SWACÂ Western Division Championships and 21 student-athletes earned All-SWACÂ Honors.
Jaylan Thomas leads the offensive attack with 90 kills on the year, averaging 3.10 a set. Thomas also has 66 digs (2.28 per set) and three service aces.
Erica Jimenez is the Panther setter and averages 3.93 assists a set (114 total) while splitting time with
Joycelyn Nunez, who has 75 on the year.
Christen Augustine has 121 digs in 29 sets, leading the team in digs pet set with an average of 4.17. Blocking has been a bit of an issue for Prairie View with the team averaging just under one block a set.
Tuesday's match will mark the last non-conference home contest of the season. The Cards will play at the LMU/Long Beach State tourney this upcoming weekend before kicking off conference play at Abilene Christian on Sept. 20. Big Red's first conference home match will take place Sept. 25 against Incarnate Word.
