Sunday's game at HBU postponed til Wednesday

BEAUMONT, Texas – Sunday's Southland Conference Lamar University at Houston Baptist women's soccer game has been postponed until 7 p.m. Wednesday at HBU.

The forecast for heavy rains in the Houston area on Sunday prompted the change.

LU (6-11-1 overall, 2-6-1 Southland) needs to win its remaining two games and get some help in other conference games to earn a berth in next month's Southland Conference Tournament.

LU freshman Jordan Mulnix leads the Southland Conference in scoring with 28 points. Mulnix picked up an assist in Friday's 2-1 loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to set a single-season school record, surpassing the 27 points set by Kimmy Albeno in 2012. Mulnix shares the school record for goals in a season, equaling Albeno's 12 goals in 2012.

Following Wednesday's game, the Cardinals close their regular season by traveling to McNeese State at 7 p.m. Friday.
