        NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Lamar women's volleyball team        picked up a first set victory once again on Saturday evening, but Stephen F. Austin bounced        back to take the next three for a 3-1 (25-18, 18-25, 13-25, 21-25) victory at Shelton        Gym.
        Whittaker had 10 kills to lead the Lady Cardinals offensively and Wendy        Krell added seven, but as a team, LU had 37 kills and was out-hit by the Ladyjacks .180        to .100.
        Madi        Martin led the team in assists with 24.
        Defensively, Krell, Whittaker and Cortney        Moore tallied three blocks apiece. Kensey        Camp and Erika        Rojas led the team in digs with 11, and Christina        Hobbs registered 10.
        The Lady Cards had an efficient opening frame and out-hit the Ladyjacks .333        to .179 to coast to a 25-18 victory. After spotting SFA a slim 5-3 lead early, Lamar        tallied 11 of the ensuing 14 points to grab a a 14-9 advantage that wasn't seriously        challenged down the stretch.
        The next three sets wouldn't be as kind to LU as the Lady Cards were out-hit        .164 to .000.
        Lamar will return to action on Tuesday against Southeastern Louisiana.
