Tickets for Lamar University's football game at Houston Saturday, Sept. 10 went on sale at the LU Ticket Office Thursday. Tickets for the game, which will be played at TDECU Stadium, are $30 and will be available for pickup immediately.

Fans can order tickets for the game by calling the LU Ticket Office at (409) 880-1715, or by logging onto the athletics website by clicking here. Walk-ups are also accepted at the ticket office which is located in the Montagne Center on the west side of the building.
 
Tickets must be picked up prior to 5 p.m. on Sept. 8, and fans who need ADA information are asked to call the ticket office directly. That office is open Monday- Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The LU Ticket Office is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged tickets.
 
The Cardinals' game at Houston will be LU's first trip inside TDECU Stadium – in its second season, and just the fourth meeting ever between the two schools and first since LU revived the program in 2010. The matchup was pegged as one of the 15 best FBS vs. FCS contests in 2016 by Athlon Sports. 
 
The Cardinals return 14 starters from last season highlighted by four preseason All-Southland selections and two preseason All-America selections – running back Kade Harrington and offensive linemen Bret Treadway. The other two preseason all-conference selections are defensive back Brendan Langley and return specialist Rodney Randle.
 
Big Red opens the season at home Saturday, Sept. 3 when it takes on Coastal Carolina. The nationally ranked Chanticleers are in the first year of their transition up to the FBS level. The game against Coastal will kick off at 7 p.m. from Provost Umphrey Stadium.
